AAMU Introduces New “Start and Go” Podcast
The essence of Alabama A&M University’s popular “Start Here, Go Anywhere” slogan will be captured in a new podcast that will launch Wednesday, September 9.
Hosted by Dr. Archie Tucker, AAMU vice president for the Office of Marketing, Communication and Advancement, the “Start and Go” podcast will highlight interesting people impacting the University and their respective communities in weekly one-on-one episodes.
From his home studio, Tucker will engage in thought-provoking conversations with AAMU students, faculty, staff and alumni, as well as community members from across the state and beyond. Episodes are slated to continue each Wednesday during the fall and spring semester. The first episode will feature AAMU Athletics Director Bryan Hicks, who will discuss the state of AAMU athletics, particularly football and other fall sports. He discusses what it is like to have Chris Paul wear AAMU Jordan’s.
Rounding out the slate of September guests are alumna Lisa S. Jones, founder and CEO of EyeMail, Inc.; William Barnes, president and CEO of the Birmingham Urban League; and rising senior Justin Lindberg, a computer science major and the software developer behind the tech startup The Lituation.
