The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute will host a free virtual event on Juneteenth (June 19th) at 7:00 p.m. CST to celebrate and honor Dr. Angela Y. Davis with the Fred L. Shuttleworth Human Rights Award.

The Fred L. Shuttlesworth Human Rights Award is the highest award given by the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, that honors outstanding individuals for their significant contributions to civil and human rights.

AAMU Students Invited to a Conversation for College Students

Alabama Senator Doug Jones will host a Conversation for College Students on Monday, June 22, at 6 p.m. CT.

Students can ask about Pell Grant funding, CARES Act support for college students, and any other concerns.
