  • My name is Taylor, and I’m the new general assignment reporter for WBAA News. I came to WBAA after working for WFIU in Bloomington, Indiana. I was born and raised in Michigan, in the metro-Detroit area. I studied journalism and English literature at IU, and the more I learned about public radio, the more I wanted to work in the field. I’m excited to start my work here at WBAA, reporting on issues affecting the Greater Lafayette area.

He has served as a member of the Amuite Yearbook Team, the Marching Maroon and White Band, Sigma Tau Epsilon Professional Fraternity, Incorporated and House Arrest Two Championship Dance Team Incorporated. Lee has independently developed and produced projects on his own, including his own podcast. On campus, he is a well known photographer and videographer and plans to continue the growth of his production business.
  • Royalty Johnson is a Senior from Atlanta, Georgia majoring in Communications Media with a concentration in Production. She is a first generation HBCU student. After graduation, she plans to further her education by enrolling in Graduate School to pursue her Master's Degree in Business Administration or Political Science. Her goal is to become an Executive Producer for CNN. At WJAB-TV, she is actively involved in the Production Department.
  • Lippmann returned to her native St. Louis after spending two years covering state government in Lansing, Michigan. She earned her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and followed (though not directly) in Maria Altman's footsteps in Springfield, also earning her graduate degree in public affairs reporting. She's also done reporting stints in Detroit, Michigan and Austin, Texas. Rachel likes to fill her free time with good books, good friends, good food, and good baseball.
  • Kate Payne is an Iowa City-based reporter for Iowa Public Radio. Before she came to the Hawkeye State she was a reporter and fill-in host for WFSU, the NPR member station in Tallahassee, Florida. Kate has won awards for her political and feature reporting and her sound editing.
